My name is Sarah Eschliman and this year is my 10th year of teaching in Wood River. I am proud to say that I was born and raised in Wood River, graduated from Wood River High School in 2004, and am excited to be teaching back in Wood River. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2009 with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Unified. In the years that I have taught I have been shuffled around quite a bit moving from 5th to 4th to 3rd and loving teaching 1st grade right now.
My husband Adam and I met in marching band at UNK. He works at Yandas Music in Kearney. We also have a 3 (almost 4) year old named Connor. We live in Kearney and just recently in August bought a new home in Glenwood Corners outside of Kearney. We have been very busy with house projects since then.
Out of the 10 years of teaching at Wood River I have been involved with various activities. I have been a Swing Choir director, Color Guard instructor, and a Cheer/Dance sponsor. I love being involved with these activities because I get to see my students that I had taught grow into the young adult that they are by the time they are seniors. I can’t believe I have already had some of my students graduate. I don’t feel like I have been here that long. I really love it here in Wood River though. I always have and I always will.
