Hi! My name is Megan Lowe and I teach resource at Wood River Elementary. This is my 15th year teaching in Wood River. I love my job - everyday is a great day to be a Wood River Eagle!
I grew up in Shelton, Nebraska on a farm south of town. I attended Shelton Public Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. After high school I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney where I earned degrees in both Elementary Education and Special Education. In 2009 I earned my Master’s Degree in Reading also from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
I married my highschool sweetheart, Michael, in November of 2005. We purchased our first home in Wood River in the Spring of 2007. We have 3 children ~ Parker 11, Brooks 9, and Creighton 5. Michael is also a teacher. He teaches at the Career Pathways Institute in Grand Island. I love that the two of us enjoy teaching as much as we do. Our home and lives are centered around teaching and learning and our hearts truly belong in educating our youth.
In our spare time we love going to movies and cooking/baking as a family. We also enjoy our summers together where we swim, fish, and just generally hang out and enjoy each other’s company. We also enjoy watching our children participate in all kinds of activities and sports both in and out of school. It is such a blessing to live and work in Wood River, and as always GO EAGLES!
