Dear Wood River Families
This week is Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week, and we are fortunate to have a wonderful afterschool program with nearly 90 students registered, with an average of 70 attending each day.
Highlights of our Afterschool Program:
Elementary students participate in semi-structured activities after school, 3:15–5:30 p.m.
Homework help
Nutritious snacks
Physical activity
Enrichment programs: club days, 4-H Extension Office, and more
Free for Wood River Rural School families
Employment opportunities for high school students
Many other positive aspects!
We wouldn’t be able to offer this program without our dedicated Afterschool Program Coordinator, Stephanie Shearer, and her outstanding Program Support Staff: Tina Graff, April Cemper, Shelby Fecht, Kelli Orsburn, Justin Seier, along with our student assistants: Liza Green, Ally Klanecky, Miles Drake, Mila Alvarez, Lisa Codner, Aaliyah Adkins, Malloreigh White, Jessica Codner, and Estefany Trejo. Thank you all for your commitment and enthusiasm!

Eagles Soaring High
Our Afterschool Program Staff, for providing exceptional learning opportunities for Wood River students.
Madden Brabec, for truly soaring high, breaking the school pole vault record with a 15-foot vault at the Shelton Track Invitational!
Miss Parlin, Miss Shearer, Mrs. Schulte, and the cast and crew of the Addams Family all-school musical, who worked hard over the last four months to create an entertaining show for our community.
The high school Student Lighthouse team, for their help with setup, attendee registration, and snack distribution during the blood drive.
Students recognized as Academic All-Stars: Alan Zarraga, Esemeralda Flores, Estefany Trejo, and Shunte Beavers.
