Boom!

Yesterday, 10 Wood River FFA members competed in State FFA Degree interviews, representing our chapter with professionalism, confidence, and pride. The time, preparation, and dedication it takes to reach this level speak volumes about these students and their commitment to growth through FFA.
We also had strong results in Proficiency Awards, recognizing outstanding SAE projects:
🏅 Agricultural Mechanics Repair & Maintenance (Placement)
• Peytin Grossart – Gold, State Qualifier 🥇
• Kale Real – Silver
🏅 Beef Production (Entrepreneurship)
• Rylee Codner – Gold, State Qualifier 🥇
🏅 Beef Production (Placement)
• Rylee Codner – Gold, State Qualifier 🥇
• Kenna Wagoner – Silver
🏅 Diversified Agricultural Production (Entrepreneurship/Placement)
• Everett Miller – Silver
These results reflect countless hours of hard work outside the classroom—feeding, caring for livestock, maintaining equipment, recordkeeping, and taking responsibility for real-world agricultural projects. We are incredibly proud of all of our members who stepped up to compete and represent Wood River FFA. 💙💛

Braille Challenge
The Nebraska Center for the Education of Children Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired (NCECBVI) recently hosted its annual statewide Braille Challenge, a friendly competition designed to strengthen braille literacy skills for students in grades 1–12. Developed by the Braille Institute, the challenge tests students in Speed and Accuracy, Proofreading, Spelling, Reading Comprehension, and Charts/Graphs, emphasizing skills essential for academic and career success.
