The Wood River Little Singers did a fantastic job of representing our district at the NRCSA conference when they performed for area school administrators. #WReagles #leadership #music


Save the date! Sport/Activity Physicals will be May 7th. This is offered for any incoming 8th-12th grade students planning to participate in an activity during the 2025-2026 school year.

Tryouts are happening March 31st at 4:30 PM!
Students in 8th-11th grade who are interested must stop by Mrs. Mrkvicka’s room to pick up an informational packet before the tryout date.

On Saturday, we will have quite a few artists and musicians representing Wood River at the LouPlatte Conference Art Show & Band Clinic. Stop by Doniphan-Trumbull High School to check out some of their talents! 🎨 🎶


School Board Member, Craig Huxtable, read farm books to the Kindergarten students today. If they listened closely, they got a surprise afterward!








Congratulations to Liza Green for placing 2nd at districts and for qualifying for the state speech meet. State speech will take place Thursday, March 27 at Kearney high.



First year Spanish students played a game with flyswatters to work on a difficult grammar concept.

Today the Community Service Leadership Team from the Elementary School hosted a Bingo game at the Wood River Senior Center. There were lots of Bingos, prizes and smiles!😊

🗣️ The Eagle Speech Team will head to GICC on Tuesday for Districts. Good Luck to everyone trying to punch their ticket to State! 🎤 The State Speech Competition for Class C will be held at Kearney High School on Thursday, March 27th.


Lori Peters, educator and coach proudly representing Wood River Rural Schools, recently received the Champions for Coaches Award during the State Boys Basketball Tournament in Lincoln. Peters humbly accepts and is thankful and grateful for all past and present student-athletes.
