Earlier this month the National Honor Society was working in the concession stand during our pink out night for volleyball. The intention was always to donate all the proceeds to the GRACE foundation. We appreciate the care and support they give to many diagnosed with cancer in our area. Courtney represented the Grace Foundation and joined our morning assembly this week to accept a check from some of our senior members.

Socktober is off to a great start! If your child would like to donate new socks please bring them to the elementary and a member of the Community Service leadership team will collect them in the morning. Socks can be donated until October 30th. Go Eagles!

Congratulations to Hector Bonilla for being ranked #13 in the final rankings of the year before State on Friday. This is the first time a Wood River runner has been ranked in the Top 15 since the rankings began. The top 15 runners will medal at State. Come cheer on Hector and Yanathan at Kearney Country Club at 1 pm as they try to earn a medal.

The Eagle Cross Country team travels to McCool Junction on Thursday, Oct. 16th to compete in the District D-4 Cross Country Meet. The meet is held at Camp Kateri which is located one mile south and 1/4 mile east on the South side of the road, just off Highway 81. Good Luck Eagles!!
