Congratulations to our 5th grade spelling bee champion, Evelyn Nelms. Kinsley Davis was the runner up. Evelyn will represent Wood River Elementary at the Hall County Spelling Bee on January 18th.
First night of our Art display was a huge success. If you haven’t had a chance to view the creative works of our students, there is still time. The display will be up through the evening of December 20, for the band concert.
Reminder that the 7th and 8th grade math auctions will be held during class on December 21 and 22. Please help our students do their shopping using their math money (earned in class instead of real money) by sending gently used items to Mrs. Reid’s room.

Due to predicted historic high winds, dangerous travel and power outages, Wood River Rural Schools will dismiss the elementary at 12:45 and middle high school at 1:00. There will be no afternoon activities or sports practices.. No ASP or afternoon preschool. Please be safe today.

The Wood River Board of Education heard about some of the great things happening at the elementary during last night's board meeting. Mrs. Boshart shared about the elementary library program. And the 5th graders talked about some of their fun learning opportunities.
