To start off the year, a majority of students from FBLA went around town handing out number tickets to yard sale owners during Garage Sales on August 2nd and 3rd which is something that the town of Wood River does annually. Another traditional event that FBLA hosts every year is the Fun Fest games, they take place at the Library Park after the Fun Fest Parade that also occurs on the same day. Which on this day, August 17th, FBLA officers and members had gathered early in the morning to set up their designated games that they had chosen to run. Some of the games that are set up are the bean bag toss, wheel of fortune, football throw, ring toss, and making a basketball shot. Additionally, other events that FBLA members host are the ice cream social day, this is a one-day event that was held on Tuesday, August 20th at 6:00 p.m. which recruited and welcomed anybody from the student body to come and enjoy a variety of desserts after sports practices. Upcoming community service project will the Adopt-a-Highway and working at the Eagles Nest during Husker Harvest Days. At the end of September, the Officer Team will travel to Hastings College to attend the FBLA Fall Leadership Conference.
