The Wood River FBLA hosted their annual “Turkey of the Year” fundraiser for March of Dimes from November 16th- November 20th. Each class chose a student to represent them in the competition to try to earn the most amount of money, and overall points. An obstacle course and debate were held on the last day of the competition to decide the winner. This year’s winner was 8th grader, José Zaraga.

In a classroom simulation Zander played the role of a geography student in Mexico City to learn about Mexico City’s growth as an urban area and the spatial inequalities in that city.
