Mrs.Peters' 6th Reading class getting prepared to read "The One and Only Ivan", learning about the author, Katherine Applegate first to build background knowledge. Plus, Layla shares a letter with the class she received back from this author first hand. Some cool pic collages to present also! Going to use what we are learning about literary elements with a new novel.




Veterans Day assembly is tomorrow morning, breakfast at 8:15, and the program at 9:15. Parking will be available on the southwest side of the parking lot by the purple Wood River flags. Student helpers will be there to help welcome veterans and assist anyone with the curb that needs it. Breakfast will be served in the commons area. There will be a photo booth and photographer available for families to take pictures with their veterans.



A BIG thank you to the Wood River Elementary PTO for the new books! The students couldn't wait to check them out!

Our 8th graders had a blast in Lincoln today!They got to listen to several current and former Huskers. Talk about life skills and making great decisions in life.

The Youth Sports Group was able to purchase 10 youth basketballs and a Multisport Indoor Tabletop Scoreboard. Thank you to all of the coach sponsors and parents that help run this program to keep our youth active and engaged in sport activity.
