We have been preparing for state cheer for what seems like forever. We went to Nebraska Cheer Center in Lincoln this summer to help us with a routine for the competition. We decided to enter into the Tumbling division because we have some awesome senior leaders to help with our tumbling skills. Our captains Marlie Ruge and Alyana Newell helped our girls all year to get to the level of tumbling we had for state. The cheerleaders participated at the state cheer competition on Saturday February 22. We were able to bring home 2nd place in our division. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication of our ladies to our goal of participating in state this year. You ladies were amazing!

On Friday night, the lady Eagle basketball team will play Oakland-Craig at Columbus High School; tipoff is set for 7:00pm. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students, and Wood River fans will sit in the East bleachers. Directions to the new Columbus High are below.
