Wood River Rural Schools Announces New Superintendent -
Wood River Rural Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Terry Zessin has been selected as the Superintendent of Schools for the 2020-2021 school year. Current Superintendent, Dr. James Haley, will be retiring in June, after six years with the District.
The Board of Education interviewed four candidates recently, and all members agreed that Mr. Zessin was a strong candidate. He will be moving from the High School Principal position, thus a search has begun to hire Mr. Zessin’s replacement. The new Principal will have big shoes to fill, as Mr. Zessin has left his mark on the Middle School/High School program.
Mr. Zessin is married to Heather Zessin, and they have four children enrolled in the Wood River Rural Schools. Be sure to congratulate our new head Eagle when you see him. All Eagles are very proud of Mr. Zessin!
