20 members of the Leader in Me Student Lighthouse Team presented to the accreditation visitors, outlining the projects and initiatives they have led throughout the year. Their presentations reflected strong leadership, collaboration, and dedication to continuous improvement.
Yesterday, 17 students from our Student Lighthouse Team gave an outstanding tour of our facility to the Leader in Me accreditation visitors. Their leadership, confidence, and pride in our school truly shone through!

On Friday, Oct. 31st the Eagle Football Team travels to Fremont Bergan to play in the First Round of the State Football Playoffs. The game is to be played at HEEDUM FIELD & TRACK (MIDLAND UNIVERSITY FACILITIES) - 1556 E Military Ave, Fremont, NE. Kickoff is at 7:00. Wood River's sideline will be on the East side of the field. Wood River fans are to sit in the North end of the East bleachers and/or the West bleachers. Spectators are not allowed on the track or turf at any time. There are NO PASSES for district level events. Admission prices are: $8/adults; $6/students. The game will be streamed at: https://striv.tv/channel/bergan/

The Wood River Elementary Student Lighthouse Team hosted a trunk at the community Trunk or Treat at Stick Creek Kids last night. Their graveyard theme highlighted each of the 7 Habits.
Our Class of 2026 took proactive steps to plan for their future today. In total our seniors submitted 149 college applications. #Apply2College

The Academic Action Team took a little time to celebrate their hard work preparing the Academic Renaissance Award Ceremony. Our students created a slideshow, posters, awards, and certificates to recognize the accomplishments of their classmates. There are so many great things going on at WR Schools and we love highlighting them!
