Friday started bright and early as our Junior and Senior Livestock Evaluation teams loaded into the van and headed out to judge some high-quality livestock! Their dedication and early mornings paid off as they put their skills to the test in one of FFA’s most competitive events. 🐖🐂🐑
We also celebrated a huge milestone for the Wood River FFA chapter—14 juniors and seniors received their State FFA Degree, the highest honor an FFA member can achieve at the state level. 🏅💙
This marks a historic moment for our program, and we couldn’t be more proud of these students and all their hard work, dedication, and commitment to agriculture and leadership.
Way to go, Eagles! 🦅💛

Liza had a great run representing Wood River in Junior Public Speaking at the Nebraska State FFA Convention! She delivered her speech with confidence and poise, earning a bronze medal for her hard work and dedication. 🥉💬
We are so proud of Liza and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish in FFA in the future! 💙💛

⛳️ The Golf team will be back in action on Tuesday. A nice spring day looks to be in store - head up to Centura Hills and support our boys! #wreagles

A special shoutout to Liza Green, who took the stage in junior public speaking and delivered her speech with confidence and passion. 🎤🌟 We’re so proud of her for representing our chapter and sharing her voice!

On Wednesday, our Nursery & Landscape team hit the ground running, starting the week with their competition! 🌿🪴 We’re so proud of their hard work and dedication.
Meanwhile, other Wood River FFA members spent the day growing as leaders—attending a leadership workshop focused on how to be proactive and make a positive impact. 💡🌟 They also joined thousands of others at Session 1, launching the week with energy, inspiration, and plenty of blue corduroy pride! 💼💛
To top off the day, members visited J.P. Acres in Lincoln, where they explored the farm, learned about sustainable practices, and had some hands-on fun with llamas—walking them, feeding them, and learning about their care! 🦙🌱
We’re just getting started—stay tuned for more updates from our amazing week in Lincoln!

Freshmen participated in Pathfinder during Leader in Me this week. The goal of the activity was to guide their blindfolded parter through the many "hazards" in the gym while focusing on trust building and teamwork! They had a great time!
